to my humble abode

Who am I?
Who am I? That the Lord of all the earth, Would care to know my name, Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I? That the bright and morning star, Would choose to light the way, For my ever wandering heart.
I am a flower quickly fading, Here today and gone tomorrow, A wave tossed in the ocean, A vapor in the wind. Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord, you catch me when I'm falling, And you've told me who I am. I am yours. I am yours.

For some laughs, couldn't help it.

I'm getting addicted to PHD comics...and I blame it all on KCA!

Electronic Bus

Something I found rather funny and cute from Sean's blog, his 30/10/07 entry.

In determining the electron configuration of a certain atom, 3 rules are applied:
1. The Aufbau Principle, states that we have to fill electrons starting from the lowest energy orbitals first...

2. Pauli Exclusion Principle, states that no 2 electrons can have the same set of quantum numbers, i.e. in a certain suborbital, one must spin up, and the other spin down...

3. Hund's Rule of Maximum Multiplicity, states that Spin Multiplicity is directly proportional to stability... i.e. it's better for electrons to have the same spin in different suborbitals than to have different spins in the same suborbital...

I find that this is very easily observable in a bus...

1. According to the Aufbau Principle, people who first come in usually move toward the back of the bus, and then to the middle, front, then standing...

2. According to the Pauli Exclusion Principle, usually a guy would prefer to sit with a girl, because they do not have the same set of quantum numbers...

3. According to Hund's Rule, people would prefer to sit alone and only if they don't have the opportunity to do so will they be forced to pair up with someone else on the bus...

I got bored at reading Statistics and Research Methods for Behavioral Science and dug up some funny comics to bash at it.

Now some unrelated ones that I found funny.

Can you…

Can you hear my heart?
Beating a thousand miles of rhythm
Is this guilt then?
When a forlorn gaze passes on

Can you see my rust?
Eating away at the inside
Is this pain then?
When numbness holds on

Can you taste my tears?
Descending slowly down my face
Is this shame then?
When the heart starts crying

Can you smell my fear?
Permeating from every pore
Is this cowardice then?
When courage is failing

Can you touch my being?
Filling me up with rivers
Is this joy then?
When peace overwhelms

I have never walked on water
Felt the waves beneath my feet
But at Your word Lord
I receive Your faith
To walk on oceans deep

And I remember
How You found me
In that very same place
All my failings
Surely would have drowned me
Still You made a way

You are my freedom
Jesus You’re the reason
I’m kneeling again at Your throne
Where would I be
Without You here in my life
Here in my life

You have said that all the heavens
Sing for joy at one who finds
The way to freedom
Truth of Jesus
Bought from death into His life

And I remember
How You saw me
Through the eyes of Your grace
And though the cost was
Your beloved for me
Still You made a way

You are my freedom
Jesus you're the reason

One of the songs that ministered to me during praise and worship today.

can I trust you with my heart

Can I trust you with my heart by Travis Tritt

When you meet that certain someone you been searchin' hard to find
It's a new love full of passion that can sometimes make you blind
I don't mind bein' swept away if I know right from the start
So before we go much further girl can I trust you with my heart

In the time we've spent together I have learned to trust in you
So many things you've given before I even asked you to
But reality and romance are sometimes far apart
So what I really need to know is can I trust you with my heart

Can I cast my cares upon you can you stand a heavy load
Can I count on you to walk me down that long and winding road
If you promise me these simple things I can guarantee
You can always count on me

Can I cast my cares upon you can you stand a heavy load
Can I count on you to walk me down that long and winding road
If you promise me these simple things I can guarantee
You can always count on me

When two hearts solely surrender and are sworn to understand
It completes a perfect union between a woman and a man
So please don't misunderstand me I don't want to go too far
Without knowing just one answer can I trust you with my heart

Please girl give me just one answer can I trust you with my heart

If only guys would do this. =)

Because of you

Good morning beautiful
How is your day?
I'm feeling good so far
I pray that it'll be better
with you accompanying me

I find myself smiling more
And it's all because of you
Are you pleased?
Thank you

Good afternoon dear
How is your heart?
I'm feeling good so far
I pray that it'll be better
with you accompanying me

I know that you're tired
But because of you
Many people are safe in your embrace
Please don't give up?
Thank you

Good evening darling
How is work?
I'm feeling good so far
I pray that it'll be better
with you accompanying me

I may have fallen down just now
But because of you
I'm getting back on my feet
Can you kiss all my bruises better?
Thank you

Good night sweetheart
Are you working still?
I'm feeling good so far
I pray that it'll be better
with you accompanying me

I love it that you're mine
Because of you
The world is now changing
You love me too?
Thank you

A good thing

"It would feel weird after Kimi did such a fantastic job in the last two races and won on Sunday."

He added: "I want to win it on the track. You want to do it in style, you want to win the race or battling it out for the lead.

"Being promoted after other people have been thrown out is not the way I want to do it."

"I'm only 22 and there's going to be plenty more opportunities for me to win the world championship. I have no doubt that we can do that in the future," he added.

Hamilton keen to win 'fair' title - BBC

Finally, something good from Hamilton. Bad bad company.
Relax, McLaren…you have a lot of more years to go to win the title. Don't play dirty.

Still…beautiful car.

No more

I can't depend on my feelings no more
They're just shattered and torn in the wind
Emotions are nothing with this chaos
Can't depend on them no more

When will they turn right?
Could the ribbons of joy be sewn back?
Just as I grasp something it stays eluded
When will they feel right?

I am not a plaything for pandemonium
So leave me be
Shed your trailing shadows away from me
I am never yours

Give me back what belongs to me
My rights, my promises
Forever and ever and ever
My love, faith and hope is in Jesus

Crunchy Chocolate -

One bar of baking chocolate
1/4 cup of butter
One tablespoon of cream of tartar
One tablespoon of vanilla extract
3 McVitie's Hobnobs oats biscuits (Or graham crackers)

Melt chocolate in a bowl surrounded by boiling water. (To prevent crusting)
Add butter and stir.
Add cream of tartar and vanilla extract. Stir.
Crumble the biscuits and sprinkle over chocolate. Mix well.
Pour mixture onto thin greased plate and spread evenly.
Refrigerate for 4 hours.
Break into pieces and eat.

Should be able to make 20 1"x1" pieces.

Came out with this myself during candy making time. Though truffles were too common to make, so since I had McVitie's oat biscuits with me, just tried my hand at it. Turned out quite well. The butter took the slight bitterness taste of the baking chocolate out. Maybe I should add honey and some raisins/almonds next time.

Bucking up...

on my PSY1022 is extremely needed. If my results for the RDA assignment ain't proof enough at 23/30 (76%), when I sorely needed a 25/30, so that I can get a High Distinction, then well... ...

MGW1010 is giving me the shudders.

JRN1903 is coming up not so nicely. I have a deep feeling that I'll have writer's block.
But one interview is done. Now for the next two...

COM1020 is giving me a headache and eyeache. Wrapping your mind around all those theories are not simple. Even MGW1010 theories are more straightforward than COM1020. Honestly, I do not know why academicians (Raymond Williams and his kind) must write in such 'flowery language'.

Go and sin no more by Rebecca St. James

I've sinned come on my knees for I'm not worthy of Your love
How could you die for me such grace can only come from God
Oh Lord, You search and You know me You see me inside out
God, You alone can forgive me erase my fear and my doubt
Father, you pick me up - I feel like a child in Your arms
I don't deserve this love but, I hear Your voice Lord Jesus

Go & sin no more
He said "I will not condemn you, I'll forgive and I'll forget it all"
Go & sin no more
"My child let me remind you it is I who'll lead and guide you as you go"

You are my purpose You are the reason that I live
I want to be like You Help me to love and to forgive
God let me not be distracted Lord help me focus on you
Keep sin from ruling my life, Lord make me holy and pure
Father you pick me up I feel like a child in Your arms
I don't deserve this love but, I hear Your voice Lord Jesus

Wipe, wipe away
Take, take away
Break, break away
Fill my life, make it right, Father help me, Father help me GO

He said "I will not condemn you, no"
Go & sin no more
"My child let me remind you it is I who'll lead and guide you as you GO"

I've sinned come on my knees how could You die for me
You search my heart know my thoughts
See me inside and out and all throughout me
You alone can forgive me
You always pick me up like a child in Your arms
I could stay with You forever here
