Welcome
to my humble abode

Who am I?
Who am I? That the Lord of all the earth, Would care to know my name, Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I? That the bright and morning star, Would choose to light the way, For my ever wandering heart.
I am a flower quickly fading, Here today and gone tomorrow, A wave tossed in the ocean, A vapor in the wind. Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord, you catch me when I'm falling, And you've told me who I am. I am yours. I am yours.

A letter of Love for SANDY

Dear Sandy,

It's been so long since I've been able to talk to you face to face. I hope that when I go back in December that you'll be there for me to give you a huge hug. You have been there for me since Marsiling Primary School and our friendship has grown through these 11 years. Honestly you're my oldest friend I've met in the outside world, and I treasure you because of that.

I remember those days where we pulled pranks on our teachers (cue Mr Lai) and other classmates. I remember the times where a plastic bottle and lots of fire lighters are involved. The things we do together to get in trouble with Mr Mohan just before our PSLE and nearly got our names written in the 'black list'. The funny business with Clement that involved our "darling" principal Mr Ng. Remember all that?

Funny, but I also have some imprint of our quarrels and volatile moods. I cannot remember every single moment, but I thank God for all those quarrels because it made you and I grow. I may kick, sometimes literally, sense into your head, but you have also gave me a lot of experience. Between the two of us, the world is such a small small one. Look at the relationship of Bong...prime example...lol...

Though since secondary school, most of our ideals and goals have changed, and we seldom spend much time together. You were always with Pei Ling, Zinette, Tiffany and etc., while I was with Grace, Malathi, Asha and etc. But somehow we still managed to make this friendship work, which is quite funny considering the amount of friendships I've let dwindle out is quite high.

I know God has big plans for you, all you have to do is to look out for him. Sorry for not being there for you at moments you needed a friend most, just know that my prayers are with you. Sorry for offending your feelings during the times I start lecturing you.

Just want to give you some advice...
Always look forward. Don't get caught up in the hurts of the present and forget about your future. Everything else around you may change, even I will change, but there will always be one thing that is constant, and that is Jesus Christ. I know you're not a christian, but this is something I want to share with you. The LOVE of Christ. His love will never change for you. Unlike human beings, unlike *coughmencough*, Jesus will still always love you. Whether you're good or bad, he loves you no matter what and no matter when.

Frankly, I think you are really blessed from the God above. You have a roof over your head, good food to eat, a rich family, cute siblings and loyal friends. Treasure every day that you live and every friend you have. Do not take things for granted.

To my opinion, even your loves now may change, but I will not dispute what you feel now. Just question yourself everytime you meet a guy whom you think you will fall in love with, "Is he the one you want to marry and spend the rest of your life with?" Asking yourself this question will stop you from having falling into the tangled web of love and pain. I know you're tired of pain, yet you just want love. I don't have much to offer you, nothing I do can stop you from doing what you want. Just know that my love is with you whenever you feel lonely.

Here's one song for you, and believe me it's true.

Friend of a Wounded Heart by Wayne Watson

Smile, make them think you're happy
Lie, and say that things are fine.
And hide that empty longing that you feel
Don't ever show it, just keep your heart concealed.

Why are the days so lonely?
I wonder where, where can a heart go free?
And who will dry the tears that no one sees?
There must be someone to share your silent dreams.

Caught like a leaf in the wind
Looking for a friend, where can you turn?
Whisper the words of a prayer
And you'll find Him there, arms open wide, love in His eyes.

Jesus, He meets you where you are.
Oh, Jesus, He heals your secret scars
All the love you're longing for is Jesus
The friend of a wounded heart.

Joy, comes like the the morning
Hope, deepens as you grow
and peace, beyond the reaches of your soul,
Comes blowing through you, for love has made you whole.

Once like a leaf in the wind
Looking for a friend, where could you turn?
You spoke the words of a prayer
And you found Him there, arms open wide, love in His eyes.

Jesus, He meets you where you are.
Oh, Jesus, He heals your secret scars
All the love you're longing for is Jesus
The friend of a wounded heart.

Jesus, He meets you where you are.
Oh, Jesus, He heals your secret scars
All the love you're longing for
All the love that you need is Jesus
The friend of a wounded heart.

Oh, The friend of a wounded heart
Oh, A friend of a wounded heart
Oh, The friend of a wounded heart
Oh, A friend of a wounded heart

All my love,
Lynette
